I know it may seem silly to review nails, but these are a specialty item. I needed short nails to not poke through my plywood layer for a coop I was building. These worked perfectly, and they are akin to beefy tacks that you can smack with a hammer. That being said, a point of warning. These are so small you cannot hold them upright with your fingers and hammer them. I strongly recommend you push them into the surface you are trying to nail first, then hammer. It is a little annoying but is a drawback of a nail this short, and not inherent to the product itself. They hold the shingles in place well, and seem to be of decent quality for the price. I had a few misshapen ones in the bag, but that's not unusual when buying bulk nails.
