This is the second package of button pins I have ordered for my daughter. She loves them and uses the button pins all the time to adjust the waist of her pants. Unfortunately b/c they are so small she misplaces them thus why I had to order another package. The ease of using these buttons & how well they really do work. Recommend anyone with pants or shorts that the waist is to big get these. Love themHad no problem attaching the button to jean. Satisfied with product and price.I am a person who rarely sews anything, let alone a button. Recently, the button broke off on my favorite pair of jeans. I went into my sewing kit, which I've had for the past 40 years, only to find I no longer have the eyesight to thread a needle. Discouraged, I went to Amazon, and bought a pack of extra-large, self-threading needles. When they arrived, I found I was able to thread the needle OK, but after so many years of not sewing anything, I found that my sewing skills have declined as much as my eyesight. I wasn't able to sew the button on very well. Now I felt panicked, because, as I mentioned earlier, the button I needed to sew on came from my favorite pair of jeans. I pictured myself going into the local tailor shop and asking how much they'd charge to sew a button onto a pair of jeans. The prospect seemed humiliating, but there was no way I was going to throw out my favorite jeans over a button.Well, what do you know? Out of the blue, Amazon Vine offered me this set of 8-piece No Sew Button Pins for jeans and I figured, Wow! If this works, it's the answer to a prayer. So I ordered the Button Pins and sat back. They arrived two days ago. I hastily opened the package and read the instructions, which are pretty simple. The set comes with a variety of different "Button Pins". Each Button has a post, similar to the post on an earring, and a stud to fasten it. But the fit is a bit stronger than that of an earring. I pulled one apart, just to see what it was like. It came apart easily enough, but when I put the stud back on the post, I firmly pushed it all the way in. The next day, when I was ready to attach it to my jeans, I used the same button. I found that by putting the stud on firmly all the way, it did not come off the post very easily. So, I had to really pull to get it off. This reassured me that the button would stay firmly in place after placing it.I put the button on the jeans and found that it fit the buttonhole perfectly. And, the button stayed on the jeans all day without coming loose. Success! I had replaced the lost button without having to do any sewing!I have now had the button on and have been wearing these jeans for two days. The button has not come loose as I was afraid it might. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with these "No Sew Buttons" and I recommend them very highly. In fact, I like this item so much that I went right back to the Product Page and ordered another set!I rate this product Five Stars, and they are very well deserved! These buttons *technically* work. It's very easy to push the pin through thick jeans and snap on the back and holds well even when being pulled by the jeans button hole. However, I somehow didn't think about how huge the back of these buttons are!! see my attached photo - you can see the existing button back is completely flat and flush with the jeans and the back of these buttons protrude a very large amount. To make matters worse, the edge of the back is somewhat sharp. When standing, I don't notice it at all, But as soon as I sat down, I found myself constantly shifting the button because the back was digging into my skin. You can see the marks it left - that was only after 5 minutes of wearing. If I tried to wear this button all day it would absolutely cause cuts and scabs on my stomach.Overall, if you stand the whole time you're wearing pants/shorts/jeans with this button, you should be fine. But if you ever plan on sitting down I do not recommend these. I need to find a flat-back button replacement option - and if it doesn't exist, I'd rather just have to keep pulling my jeans up than wear a button that causes me skin injuries. The best thing is it was extremely easy to remove and didn't cause any damage to my jeans.
